This little booklet contains all the artwork and textwork tied to the album ‘Stroom’, released October 14th 2022. Each of the fourteen songs corresponds with its own images and its own poem – written in Dutch. ‘Stroom’ at its essence is an album on love lost and found, change welcomed and resisted. Water and electricity have been the underlying metaphors in composing the music, writing the poetry, and undertaking the photography and videography for ‘Stroom’. In conjunction, these two elements symbolize the ocean-wave-like peace and clarity experienced when smoothlessly tuned into the flow of life, but also the electrical tension and short-circuit experienced when that flow is resisted and when an inner 'no' is manifesting in the body. If anything, 'Stroom' reflects my own process of releasing and embracing those parts not yet ready for it.
